Leavers 2016

Our leavers assembly took place today. It’s always a mix of celebration and sadness. Celebration at acknowledging everything our students have achieved in school and sadness at having to let our young people move on.

Our Head of School, Paul Boulton, reminded us of the athlete Derek Redmond who suffered an injury during an Olympic race. Hobbling on, his father came out of the crowd to support his son, struggling to reach the finish line.

It reminded us that the finish isn’t as important as the journey. We had much to celebrate in the great achievements our young people are making on their ’journey.’

One by one, our leavers received evidence of their achievement during their time in our school. All the little steps made and the giant strides forward.

Congratulations to Ryan, Abbie, Megan, Declan and Ian.
