Our Family link Team want to share a range of fun activities that will be taking place over the course of the summer holidays. There are tons of things to do across Merseyside and they hope you can take advantage of them. Have a look at the list below and let us know if you took advantage of any events . . . .

Sporty Speke for all : Every Friday from 17th – 28th August. Ticket price £1-£3. Sports activity programme especially for children with a disability, young children and their sibings. website

Green Fayre Beacon Country Park, Upholland: 11am-5pm Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th July. Celebrating the great outdoors and countryside life. Don’t miss demonstrations in a variety of woodland crafts including, chainsaw carving, willow weaving, basket making and hooping. The show arena will also include sheepdog trials, viking battles and birds of prey displays. There will even be a music marquee housing a variety of folk and traditional music performers. An event not to be missed! website

Chavasse Park, Liverpool One: Captain Pool’s Adventures, open daily 11am-5pm July 22nd-August 31st. website

Sniff out a great afternoon : July 23rd & 30th, August 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th @ 12.30pm /1,30pm / 2.30pm / 3.30pm.  Sniffer dog demonstration.  Meet the UK border force dog team from Manchester Airport showing off their skills at the National Museum based at Merseyside Maritime Museum, Albert Dock, Liverpool. website

Knowsley Feel Good Festival : Saturday 8th August, 1-5pm

Knowsley Flower Show : Sunday 9th August, 11am-5pm Both events held at Court Hey Park, Roby Road, Liverpool, L16 3NA.  website

Teddy Bears Picnic : August 22nd 1pm-4pm, Sudley House Museum, Mossley Hill Road, Liverpool.  Drop in no booking required, bring a picnic for a fun day of storytelling. Website

Ben & Hollys Little Kingdom, live on Stage : Tuesday 4th & Wednesday 5th August, 1pm & 4pm at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. website

S&R Birds of Prey, Liverpool: Come along and say hello to S7R birds of prey and don’t forget to bring your camera.  Free event, 10am-3pm, National Wildflower Centre, Roby, Liverpool, L16 3NA. website
