John Bruce has forwarded this information about an exciting  summer music project in Greater Manchester . . .

 

Drake Music is inviting learning disabled young people aged 11-25 from Greater Manchester to apply to be part of ‘SUMMER SOUNDTRACKERS’, a free week-long accessible music project at Z-arts, Hulme.

 

The project will focus on creating exciting new music using assistive music technology, such as iPads, adapted switches, DJ tools and Theraminis, alongside traditional musical instruments and vocals.

 

SUMMER SOUNDTRACKERS is suitable for young people with limited movement/dexterity and those with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

 

To apply you must:

  • Be 11-25
  • Identify as learning disabled
  • Have a real passion for music
  • Be available from Mon 24th August – Sat 29th August 2015
